Grant Williams has spent more than 40 years working in finance, living and working across major financial centres including London, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney.
He began his career in Japanese equities in the mid-1980s and was based in Tokyo as the country’s asset bubble burst at the end of the decade. Subsequent roles took him around the world, giving him a broad perspective on global markets and cycles.
Grant is currently a senior advisor to Von Greyerz Asset Management in Switzerland and a portfolio and strategy advisor to Vulpes Investment Management in Singapore.
In 2014, he co-founded Real Vision, an online financial media platform focused on long-form interviews and in-depth discussion.
He also hosts the Grant Williams Podcast and writes the newsletter “Things That Make You Go Hmmm...”, which began as a note to friends and has evolved into a widely read financial research publication.
