Benjamin Clerget joined BTG Pactual in 2011 and is an Associate Partner of the firm. He oversees the Equity Trading for BTG’s hedge fund business in Europe and Asia, which includes teams focusing on Equity Derivatives, Event-Driven and Statistical Arbitrage. As a Portfolio Manager he trades Equity Derivatives as an asset-class across all markets, and for the last decade has been a major actor in this space developing strategies on Volatility Arbitrage, Dividends, Correlation, Exotic Payoffs, as well as listed options and VIX trading. Prior to joining BTG Pactual, Benjamin was heading Societe Generale’s Volatility Proprietary Trading Desk, which he founded in 2004. Before that he held various roles in Equity Derivatives Trading for Societe Generale in New York and Paris. Benjamin graduated from Ecole Centrale de Lyon with generalist Engineering diploma and major in Applied Mathematics.
